Advent calendars, to me, signify the start of the festive period and the countdown to Christmas. Growing up my Mum always bought my sister and I the Cadbury's Freddo Frog calendar, but over the last few years we've both fallen in love with beauty and makeup so when beauty advent calendars became all the rage, I knew we had to get our hands on one. While there aren't a huge variety available in Australia, there is The Body Shop's own version. I bought my very first one last year and even lugged it on a road trip down south for my end of school celebrations. This year I believe there were three versions released, each coming in with a different price tag. Aside from the obvious, these calendars make for wonderful, luxurious gifts and are a great way for trying out products The Body Shop has to offer before splurging on a full sized item. I also love to pass on any products that won't be of use to me or I dislike the scent of to close friends and family. You could also break down the calendars into smaller gifts for Christmas or Secret Santa presents.
