There's just something about a chilly night in with cosy pyjamas, a cup of tea and my laptop that seems to end so tragically for my bank account (que livin' la vida broka meme). But anyways one night before the Easter break I managed to have a small indulge into some new beauty bits and rack up a few points for my Priceline account. I'd like to say it was partial #treatyoself occasion must was mostly just me being seduced by a huge sale, to which we know I cannot control myself.
I wanted to pick up a few new bits and bobs and try out some new brands as well. Bourjois is a brand that I absolutely love, and the much raved about Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation was on the top of my list to try. I've tried a few other foundation formulas from the brand so I figured I'd be the same shade, Vanilla, in this version. Another product that I'd been dying to purchase was the Max Factor Facefinity All Day Primer, which I realised has the lovely addition of SPF. I've been planing a celebrity makeup tutorial post recently and have been on the hunt for the perfect blush to compliment the berry toned feel of it, and then I found the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lavish Mauve, which is a perfect match!
My love affair with lipsticks knows no bounds and my small collection is quickly becoming not-so-small anymore with these beautiful additions: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss lipstick in Nude 48, Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Nude-ist, L'Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in Erotique, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo and Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee.
There were some other things I added to my cart, as well as purchasing a few products last weekend. Firstly I've been meaning to pick up some new makeup brushes, especially a few more in my eye brush selection, so I found this mini five piece set from Ecotools. I've been having a real moment with nail polish recently, but more so with Barry M polishes, and am loving the shades Blueberry and Black. I recently have has a massive change up with my hairdresser, hair colour, routine etc. and with that I've been using the Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo to reduce the brassy tones in my hair and refresh the blonde colour.
